Päijänne-Risteilyt Hilden’s ships offer a unique taste experience on all cruises.

Delicious treats on Lake Päijänne

All our ships have good restaurant services and their own kitchens, where we prepare meals from the best local ingredients. Our restaurants have A-licences, and every summer we have selected the best selection of wines for the ships.

On Lahti–Heinola route trips, on Keitele canal trips, and on short-distance cruises from Jyväskylä and Lahti, there are restaurant services with alcohol serving privileges and a buffet table consisting of Finnish delicacies created by the ship’s chef.

On charter cruises, we make the catering according to the customer’s wishes, or you can choose the catering from ready-made suggestions that our ship’s chefs have planned.

Lake Päijänne Lunch Buffet

The food is prepared from fresh, seasonal ingredients in the boat’s own kitchen, the buffet’s menu changes with seasons and availability. We mostly use lactose and gluten free products, and vegan options are available on order. If you have other food allergies or restrictions, please inform us in advance.

Starters:

  • Vegetable salad and two hearty salads
  • (Ie. pasta salad, cheese salad, smoked fish salad, Italian salad, potato salad)
  • Two salad dressings
  • Pickled herring
  • Fish charcuterie
  • Bread, cheese, butter

Main course:

  • Meat and/or fish dish (ie. roast pork and sauce, karelian stew, fried game, chicken stew, baked salmon with sour cream)
  • Fresh seasonal vegetables, boiled potatoes and/or rice

Price

Adult: 23,00 €/person

Groups: 20,00 €/person with groups of at least 40

Children under 12: 10,00 €, children under 4 for free

  • Meat or fish (e.g. roast fillet of pork and sauce, Karelian meat stew, game sauté, chicken casserole, salmon poached in smetana.)
  • Fresh seasonal vegetables, boiled potatoes or rice

Dessert

  • Dessert made from berries or fruit (e.g. kissel, fruit salad or quark) or coffee and tea with coffee bread
