Summer Evening Cruise from Lahti to Vääksy Canal
– Two Lakes and One Beautiful Summer Evening!

Departure: Lahti Harbour (Satamakatu 7)
Time: 18:30–22:30
Ship: m/s Suomen Neito

Spend a beautiful summer evening on the lake aboard m/s Suomen Neito! This four-hour evening cruise departs from Lahti Harbour and crosses Lake Vesijärvi towards Vääksy Canal, which connects Lake Vesijärvi with Lake Päijänne.

The atmosphere of Vääksy Canal is truly one of a kind Suomen Neito glides peacefully along the narrow canal, passing trees, houses and the old mill. A lifting bridge opens ahead of the ship, and soon we arrive at the canal lock, right beside a waterside café. After passing through the lock, the cruise continues towards the other end of the canal, where Lake Päijänne opens up before us. We cruise for a while on Lake Päijänne before it is time to head back towards Lahti Harbour.

Our generous and delicious dinner buffet is prepared in the ship’s own kitchen and features a varied selection of Finnish flavours and locally sourced ingredients. Dinner is served in m/s Suomen Neito’s restaurant, surrounded by beautiful lake views, and our carefully selected wine list, updated annually, completes the dining experience.

A toast to summer at the beginning of the cruise! 🥂 You can easily add a welcome drink when purchasing your cruise ticket from our online store or order one on board. The ship’s bar is also open throughout the cruise – choose a wine to enjoy together or take a cocktail out on deck and soak up the warm summer evening in the golden evening light. During the cruise, you can also stop by the bridge to see the journey from a completely different perspective and exchange a few words with the captain. Please check with the captain before visiting to make sure it is a convenient time.

Leave the city behind for a while and spend a summer evening where it is at its best – on the lake, surrounded by the scenery of Finnish Lakeland!
