Enjoy a relaxing summer day surrounded by the stunning scenery of Finland’s longest and deepest lake! This traditional cruise route, which has been operating for decades, takes you across the entire length of Lake Päijänne between Lahti and Jyväskylä. The journey from Lahti to Jyväskylä takes place on Sundays, with the return trip from Jyväskylä to Lahti on Mondays, making a round trip a wonderful way to spend two full summer days on the lake. Along the way, vast open waters, lush green islands and picturesque shorelines reveal the remarkable diversity of Lake Päijänne’s scenery.

A generous lunch buffet prepared by our onboard chef adds a delicious highlight to your summer day on Lake Päijänne. Our buffet features tasty dishes made with an emphasis on Finnish ingredients and locally sourced produce. Please let us know about any dietary requirements when making your reservation. The onboard restaurant offers a wide selection of drinks, wines and cocktails to enjoy throughout the day. Savoury and sweet snacks, ice cream and refreshments are also available for purchase during the journey.

With a full day on board, there is plenty of time to slow down and enjoy summer at your own pace. And even a little summer rain won’t spoil the experience, as the ship’s warm and comfortable indoor areas offer beautiful lake views from every seat! Soak up the sunshine and admire the ever-changing scenery from the sun deck, play cards or board games with your travel companions, or simply relax with a good book. Along the way, the captain provides commentary on the passing scenery and points of interest. At passengers’ request, we can also make a refreshing stop for swimming and stretching your legs – so remember to bring your swimsuit and towel!

You can enjoy the entire route as a two-day round trip, travel in just one direction or choose a shorter section of the journey using the ports of call along the route. 🚲 Travelling by bike?
